it looks like WS may be better served with systematics, over early church history. now it's not because i don't like early church history - au contrare: as santayana says, "he who forgets the past is destined to repeat it."
however the point was made that people attending may be better served having a conversation about things they can engage with, as opposed to a didactic lecture; the idea was always to be interactive.
systematics will helpfully remain accessible, due to their biblical framework.
so with that in mind, what do we think of these as topics?
- Sovereignty of God
- Baptism
- Eschatology
- Sin Nature of the Atonement, Why Jesus?, Patripassianism
- The Bible Canon LXX v Masoretic, Apocrypha/pseudepigrypha Gnostic gospels, DeadSeaScrolls
- The Holy Spirit
- Christology Who is Jesus
Predestination

I'm curious - why these topics? Any logic behind their selection and ordering?
What of resurrection? Trinitarian relations? Humanity? Incarnation? Ecclesiology? Sanctification?
How long are the sessions going to be and what will be the format?
Sounds like fun in any case.
1hr talk, 1/2hr discussion
should be a ball
we're going to kick off in 2 weeks with Sanctification: working through growth in holiness despite sinful natures, as well as asking whether it's God's work or ours.
looking forward to it!
How's it going?
